The gut-first order

1. Gut, fast. No lock button. The value commits by itself after the thumb rests for 1.2 seconds.
2. Base rate, if the question has one, appears only now: "Questions like this: about 3 in 10."
3. Head, slow. With one optional reason.
4. Heart. For a forecast: "How much do you want this to happen?" We record the want gap (heart minus head).
5. Your number. Lock. We record drift (final minus gut).
6. Only then any machine answer is revealed.

The gut is taken first because it is the read most easily bent by anything you see before it.
