# Updating after the reveal

The person commits gut, head, heart and a final number before any machine number is shown. That rule has no exceptions.

After the reveal the card offers one optional sweep: **Land again?** It never replaces the answer.

| Field | Meaning |

| `final_pre_reveal` | The final committed before the reveal. This is the human answer. |
| `updated_read` | The optional second landing, after seeing the machine. |
| `moved` | `updated_read` minus `final_pre_reveal`, signed: positive toward the machine, negative away. |
| `receipt` | Oversight receipt: `final_pre_reveal`, `committed_at`, `committed_before_reveal: true`, `revealed_at`, `updated_read`, `moved`. |

When a forecast resolves, the Brier score of `updated_read` is compared with that of `final_pre_reveal`, so the record can say, per class: "When you moved toward the machine, it helped X of Y times."
