# Say it your way: POST /v1/felt

Beside the sweep, a person may answer "What's your felt sense?" in words: "pretty good but something's off", "tight", "kind of".

```http
POST /v1/felt
{ "text": "pretty good but something's off" }
```

```json
{ "text": "pretty good but something's off", "value": 6, "low": 5, "high": 7, "needs_confirmation": true,
  "source": "words", "past_uses": 0, "say": "Sounds like about 6, somewhere 5 to 7. Right?" }
```

Nothing is stored by this call. Say the `say` line back and commit only the number the person confirms or nudges. With a Bearer key, that account's own past confirmed values for the same phrase come first (`source: "yours"`) and the range narrows with each use. Order otherwise: the translator, then the AI model, then a small word list. Text only; tone of voice is never used.
