# Introduction

Ambient Precision gives software a typed way to ask a person. You send a question in a fixed shape; a person lands their answer with one sweep of the Ergo Thumb; you get a typed answer back with a confidence and `source: "human"`.

Use it for the moments a machine should not decide alone.

## 60-second start

1. Sign in at [/console](/console) and create an API key.
2. Send one request:

3. Open the `card_url` from the response (or send it to the person). They land their number.
4. Collect: `GET /v1/handoff/<ticket>` until `status` is `answered`, or pass `webhook_url` and we call you once.

A machine answers in milliseconds. A person takes seconds to minutes. That is the point.
