# The biological check

When a question carries a machine answer, we compare it with the person's gut read the moment the gut commits, without showing the machine's answer.

- Within 2.0 on the 0 to 10 arc: the person goes straight to "Your number." Path: `straight`.
- 2.0 or more apart: breath cue, head with one reason, heart, then final. Path: `slowed`.

The gap is a per-account setting, default 2.0. The machine's answer is revealed only after the final lock.
