# Answer types

## likelihood

A chance from 0 to 1. The person sweeps the forecast thumb; 7.2 on the arc is 0.72.

```json
{ "value": 0.72, "confidence": 0.86, "source": "human",
  "reads": { "gut": 7.0, "head": 7.4, "heart": 8.0, "final": 7.2 },
  "timing": { "opened_at": "…", "answered_at": "…" } }
```

## levels

Ordered steps you name (2 to 10). The arc is divided into your steps. `value` is the probability-weighted mean step index.

```json
{ "value": 2.4, "legend": { "0": "cold", "1": "cool", "2": "warm", "3": "hot" },
  "probabilities": { "0": 0, "1": 0, "2": 0.6, "3": 0.4 }, "confidence": 0.9, "source": "human" }
```

## pick

One of several options, then a how-sure thumb.

```json
{ "choice": "refund", "probabilities": { "refund": 0.85, "replace": 0.075, "other": 0.075 }, "confidence": 0.8, "source": "human" }
```

## TypeSafe Jev's shape

Send `noul`, `score` or `choice` with Jev's `instructions` and `criteria`, unchanged, and you get Jev's answer shape back (`noul`, `score`, `choice`, `probabilities`, `distribution`), plus `source: "human"`, `reads` and `timing`. Jev users switch nothing.
